Aggravated robbery is a felony of the first degree, punishable by 5 years to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. A defendant may be charged with the more serious offense of aggravated robbery in certain circumstances:
- If he or she causes serious bodily injury to another person;
- Possesses or displays a deadly weapon; or
- Commits robbery against a disabled person or person who is 65 or older.
